For your safety and that of others, please be informed that jumping into the water from the vessel is strictly prohibed.

Article L5421-1 of th French transport code :
The Captain may refuse boarding to any person who objects to the visual inspection or search of his or her baggage or to the performance of security searches, as well as to any person who contravenes provisions the non-observance of which is likely either to compromise the safety of persons or to disturb public order.

Article L5531-1 of th French transport code :
The captain has the authority over all persons on board, for whatever reason, to maintain order, the safety and security of the ship and persons on board, and the proper execution of the shipment. He has the right to disembark any person endangering the safety of the ship, even if that person has paid his fare.

Article L5531-8 of th French transport code :
Anyone committing violence against the captain is subject to up to 20 years' imprisonment and a €75,000 fine, in accordance with articles 222-8, 222-10, 222-12 and 222-13 of the French penal code.

Article L5531-17 of th French transport code :
A fine of €3,750 is imposed on anyone who enters a ship without a ticket or the captain's authorization.
